Events at Coombeshead Farm

We had our first Coombeshead Farm Wassail on Saturday 21st January ancient blessing of the trees; it was great fun and has become a regular bi-annual event!!   Due to continuing restrictions we did not hold a Wassail this year....fingers crossed for 2023!!

Each Easter we have an Easter Egg Hunt in the orchard, usually on Easter Sunday, but it has been known to be delayed due to lambs arriving!

Lambing happens during the Easter holidays, but will take place any time during April. Guests are welcome to watch, and help if you want!

End of October

During October we make cider. Everyone helps from picking up the apples, pressing the pulp, to tasting the juice.

Unfortunately we had to cancel Cider making in 2021.  Social distancing had eased, but there were hardly any apples! The weather was bad when the blossom was on the trees, so very few produced any fruit.

As far as we can plan, cider making will take place this year, possibly 23rd October....fingers crossed!!
