The Farm

Coombeshead Farm encompasses 25 acres, which guests are free to explore. There are ponds, a stream, Maypool (which is almost a lake), an ancient cider orchard and a wild copse.

Lambs are born around Easter every year...

There are one or two fish in Maypool , and they all love feeding time!

Peter and Charlie showing our Dexters.

Spot the odd one out?? Alan loves the Easter Egg Hunt; he is a vegetarian so you are safe, but he does like a bit of chocolate!!

Teapot and Mabel, our 2 donkeys (this is Teapot, Mabel is above!)

Geraldine, our Dexter calf born July 2026.

We have a small herd of Dexter cattle.

.................................................................

All the animals are good with guests, and

guests are welcome to join us at feeding time.

In the winter we feed the Dexters and the donkeys in their barns,

in the summer they do not need extra feed, but do like snacks of carrots!

The Wiltshire Horn sheep stay in the field all year, but need extra food in the winter.

They come inside for lambing.

The chickens love being fed all year!!

We feed the fish in the warmer months....
